Muse Developments has announced the names of its two new production and distribution units currently under construction at the highly successful Eurocentral Business Park.
The larger, 92,000 sqft unit has been named 'Zenith' and the 67,000 sqft unit, 'Pinnacle'. The facilities herald the first speculative build of this scale in Scotland for over two years and follow a £21.2m investment by Muse.
The attractively designed buildings are the most environmentally friendly, energy-efficient facilities developed on site to date, come with a BREEAM 'Very Good' accreditation and offer the flexibility to be easily upgraded to 'Excellent'.
On schedule for completion by the end of the year and anticipated to attract considerable attention, the buildings continue Muse's solid track record for delivering economically efficient new builds to the market.
Steve Turner, regional director for Scotland at Muse Developments, said: "The names we have selected reflect our vision for the future and mark the evolution of production/distribution facilities to the sustainable and cost effective solution for businesses that these units undoubtedly offer.
"Our decision to go ahead with the speculative build is in line with our optimism in the market and we were keen that the names of the units inspired confidence in both the business opportunities available at Eurocentral and in Scotland."
Important sustainable elements of the facilities include:
* ECO insulated roof and cladding systems
* solar panels
* natural daylight coverage to 80% of floor area
* high EPC rating
These contemporary units boast a competitive rent of £5.75 per sq ft with no service charge and attractive incentives may be available to qualifying tenants.
Already an established business park with occupiers including DHL, DSV, Wincanton, Warburtons, Argos, Hovis, TDG and Morrisons; Eurocentral is an ideal location for distribution companies, with direct access to and from the A8/M8 and national motorway network, on-site rail freight terminal and easy links to airports and sea ports.
